How to Buy Crypto in Canada

As a crypto enthusiast with extensive experience since early 2017, I’ve identified the best (and cheapest) platforms/exchanges for buying crypto in Canada: Ndax, Bitget and Bitunix.

If you're new to crypto you'll want to start off with Ndax. They're a very credible Canadian crypto platform, known for their user-friendly interface and responsive customer support. You can directly fund them via e-transfer for free which is why buying from them is ideal if they have the coin that you're looking to buy. Trade fees are only 0.2% which means 20 cents for every $100 purchase and you can purchase as little as $1, depending on the coin.

Now if Ndax doesn't support the coin you're looking to purchase, you'll want to check to see if Bitget or Bitunix supports it. I personally use Bitunix more because their trade fees are lower due to their fee structure (0.06% for makers compared to 0.1% on Bitget).

Bitget and Bitunix are both reputable global crypto exchanges that support a plethora of coins, with low trade fees starting at 0.1% (but can be even lower by using the referral sign up link). The only issue with them is that you can't fund your account directly. However, there's a workaround to funding your account with them. You would first want to buy USDC to then send over to either exchange. After, you would use that USDC to buy USDT and then purchase the coin that you're looking for.

Confusing? I totally understand. That's why I've created step-by-step tutorial videos that you can watch below. In the videos, I show how to buy the USDC, send it over, sell it for USDT, and finally buy the coin that you're looking for. While it may seem complex at first, the step-by-step tutorial videos make the process easy to follow, even for beginners. In total, the fees won't be more than 0.6% (60 cents for every $100).

Now I do need to note that, both Bitget and Bitunix have stated that they don't support Canadians. Despite this statement, I personally have not had any issues using them, including withdrawing my funds from them. That said, use them at your own discretion.
